WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Freshman Katie Little (Victoria,
B.C.) scored six goals Friday evening to lead Manhattanville
College to a 12-0 victory over Plymouth State University in ECAC
Women's East ice hockey action at Waterville Valley Arena.
Little, who
tallied four goals in Manhattanville's first three games, exploded
for two goals in each period against the Panthers. Classmate
Ella Hubley (Santa Monica, Calif.) added a pair of goals and
freshman Jessica Kehoe (Kemptville, Ont.) chipped in with a goal
and three assists as the Valiants improved to 3-1 on the season.
Manhattanville
put the game away in the first period with four unanswered
goals. Little notched a pair, including one short-handed, and
Hubley and freshman Lynsey Schill (Waterloo, Ont.) each scored
once. It turned into a runaway in the second period with five
Valiant goals, two more from Little and one apiece from Hubley and
freshmen Erin Sidjak (Delta, B.C.) and Mary Rose Morrison
(Ridgefield, Conn.) Little added two more in the final frame,
and Kehoe finished off the scoring in the final minute.
The Valiants
finished with a 46-10 advantage in shots on goal. PSU
sophomore Nicole Provencher (Guilford, Conn.)
finished with 34 saves in the Panther net. Manhattanville
split the shutout among three goaltenders, with senior Sophia
Kokkonis (East Meadow, N.Y.), sophomore Kimmy Flanders (Monson,
Mass.) and freshman Emy Cote (Saint-Hubert, Que.) each playing one
period.
Manhattanville
moves on to the University of Southern Maine Saturday, Nov. 21, for
a 1:00 p.m. ECAC East match-up. PSU, 0-5, plays its final home game
of the first semester in its next outing on Friday, Dec. 4, against
Saint Anselm College.
