WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Sophomore Stacey Hochkins (New
Boston, MI) scored three goals and junior Emily
Henry (Lumsden, Sask.) added a pair Friday evening as ECAC
Women's East Conference-leading Holy Cross College defeated
Plymouth State University, 13-2, at Waterville Valley Arena.
The Crusaders
also got big nights from senior Lisa Wilson (Corunna, Ont.), who
collected one goal and four assists, and freshman Caroline English
(Dorchester, Mass.), who also picked up four assists. Holy
Cross improves to 18-3-2 overall and 15-1-2 in conference play,
while PSU is 0-23-0 and 0-18-0.
Two Panthers
got into the scoring column against the top team in the
conference. Sophomore Brianna Davis
(Framingham, Mass.) tallied her second goal of the season late in
the first period, and classmate Molly Blaine
(Concord, N.H.) scored her first of the season late in the second.
Holy Cross
sophomore goalie Carly Dominick-Sobol (Syracuse, N.Y.) earned the
win in goal after making eight saves. The Crusaders out-shot
the Panthers, 56-10, and did damage on special teams with four
power play goals and two short-handed markers.
The regular
season winds up for both schools on Saturday with Holy Cross moving
on to Southern Maine for a 1:00 face-off and PSU hosting Salve
Regina at 2:00 p.m. on Senior Day.
