Baruch with lone highlight for Panthers

            RYE, N.Y. – Senior Holly Nonis recorded a hat trick Friday night as Manhattanville College skated past Plymouth State University, 9-1, in ECAC Women's East ice hockey action at Playland Ice Casino.

            Sophomore Ella Hubley contributed a goal and two assists for the Valiants, who improved to 10-4-1 overall and 8-1-0 in the ECAC East.  Freshman Mary Evans needed to make to four saves in goal for Manhattanville, which outshot the visitors 55-5.

            Plymouth State trailed just 1-0 after the first period, but a five-goal outburst by the Valiants, ranked #10 in the nation in Division III, put the game out of reach.  Freshman Jane Baruch provided the highlight for the Panthers, breaking up the shutout with her fourth goal of the season late in the second period.

            PSU is back on the ice Saturday with an ECAC Women's East game at Nichols College.
