KEENE, N.H. – Junior
Ryan Kudish (North Providence, R.I.) and sophomore
Matt Canfield (Bethel, Conn.) each picked up individual event wins as the Plymouth State University men's swimming team dropped its first intercollegiate competition as a varsity sport, falling to Keene State College 172-45 in a Little East Conference (LEC) dual meet at Spaulding Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers swam an exhibition meet at Rhode Island College last month, but the Anchormen do not sponsor men's swimming, so today's meet was the first true competition for program.
Plymouth State will compete again in two weeks in a virtual meet against conference foe Eastern Connecticut State.
The Basics:
- Plymouth State 45, Keene State 172
- Plymouth State 0-1 (0-1 LEC)
