FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Junior
Taylor Healey (Campton, N.H.) and sophomore
Amy Cohen (Concord, N.H.) each scored a pair of goals as Plymouth State University came from behind to earn a 4-3 win over Framingham State University in a Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey game at Maple Street Field on Saturday afternoon.
The host Rams jumped out to an early lead just over a minute into the contest, and Framingham maintained the advantage the rest of the first half despite PSU holding an 8-3 shots on goal advantage.
The hosts doubled the lead to 2-0 in the third quarter, but PSU began to claw its way back when Cohen notched her first of the day with just under five minutes to go in the frame.
The fourth quarter saw three lead changes, starting when Healey got on the board just over a minute in to tie things at 2-2. Cohen added her second with 5:32 remaining in regulation, but the Rams answered back under two minutes later to knot the game at 3-3. With just 1:47 remaining, Healey capped off the scoring with her team-leading eighth goal of the year, lifting the Panthers to the 4-3 win.
Plymouth State has won four straight to sit at 4-2 (2-0 LEC), while Framingham State drops to 2-3 (0-2 LEC).

- Healey buried the game-winner with 1:47 to go and the Panthers held on for the win.

- Plymouth State held a narrow advantage in shots (23-22), while the Rams had an 11-9 edge in penalty corners.
- Healey has scored in all six games this season, and now has eight goals on the season. Her 1.33 goals per game average is among the top 25 in the country.
- Junior Piper Sherbert (Freeport, Maine) made ten stops to improve to 2-0 on the season.
- Plymouth State has won each of the last 12 meetings between the two teams and improves to 21-2 all-time against the Rams.
