PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior
Athena Comeau (Rutland, Mass.) helped the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the Panther Invitational at Bank of New Hampshire Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Comeau showed off her speed in the 60-meter dash trials when she crossed the line in 7.98 seconds for the fastest qualifying time. In the finals she dominated once again, posting a season-best performance of 7.90 for the event win.

Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine) teamed up for victory with a time of 1:59.10.
PSU took home a fifth-place team finish while challenging Little East Conference (LEC) foe Keene State.

How it Happened:
- Junior Emily Philbrook (Penacook, N.H.) took fifth in her indoor 5000-meter run with a time of 20:09.95.
- Labrie scored third in the 400-meter dash in 1:07.27.
- Junior Lexi Marcolini (Milford, Mass.) made her debut in the 600-meter run to take eighth overall with a time of 1:53.76.
- Comeau placed first in the 60-meter dash finals with a season-best 7.90, while Hanson scored fifth with a huge career-best time of 8.44.
- Junior Janelle Kitchin (Fair Haven, Vt.) blazed through the field to win her section of the 800-meter run in career-best time of 2:34.97 to place third overall.
- The duo of Comeau and Hanson struck again in the 200-meter dash, when they placed third and sixth with times of 27.42 and 28.82, respectively.
- Juniors Catherine Donovan (Hollis, N.H.) and Emma Duggan (Concord, Mass.) represented in the 3000-meter run, taking third and fourth with times of 12:31.83 and 14:46.33.
- The 4x200-meter relay squad snagged a narrow win with a time of 1:59.10, holding off the St. Joseph's team by less than half a second.
- Kitchin, Marcolini, sophomore Amy Cohen (Concord, N.H.) and freshman Amber Fernald (Alton, N.H.) teamed up for a third-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:50.03.
- Sophomore Julia Ahern (Plymouth, N.H.) took sixth in the high jump after clearing 1.41 meters.
- Senior Breanna Fearon (Monroe, N.H.) placed sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 10.65 meters.
