BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Athena Comeau (Rutland, Mass.) reset history and snagged All-New England honors while competing at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships held at The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday.
 
Comeau was rewarded with the All-Region nod after placing in the top eight in the 60-meter dash. She claimed the last spot in the finals with a qualifying time of 7.93 in yesterday's prelims and finished eighth in the finals with a time of 8.02.
 
Comeau followed up with an incredible showing in the 200-meter dash where she blazed to a 15th place finish in a program record time of 26.12 seconds.
 
Comeau may have one last opportunity for a spot at the NCAA Division III National Championship next Saturday (Mar. 4) at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet.
