PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior
Emily Philbrook (Penacook, N.H.) took home an individual win to lead the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team to a fourth place finish at the Panther Invitational II at the Bank of New Hampshire Field House on Saturday.
Philbrook quickly controlled the race in the 3,000-meters to win the even with a personal best time of 11:37.87. Her time is now 37 seconds away from the program record.
Plymouth State took fourth out of seven teams at the meet, earning 72 total points.

How it Happened:
- Velie ran a season-best time of 10.97 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to take tenth.
- The duo of junior Mackenzie Labrie (Canaan, N.H.) and freshman Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine) took third and fifth in the 60-meter dash in times of 8.35 and 8.38 seconds after punching in qualifying times of 8.41 and 8.46 seconds in the prelims.
- Hurley placed fourth in the mile run, finishing in 5:56.15.
- Sophomore Amy Cohen (Concord, N.H.) took fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11.64.
- Kitchin teamed up with freshman Gracie Villareal (Walden, Vt.) to finish fourth and sixth in the 800-meter run with times of 2:34.32 and 2:40.86.
- Freshman Amber Fernald (Alton, N.H.) represented in the 1,000-meter run with a fifth place showing of 3:48.36.
- Labrie and Hanson were joined by Gizzi in the 200-meter dash, as the trio finished third, fourth and eighth with times of 28.13, 28.50 and 30.26, respectively.
- Philbrook took the win in the 3,000-meter run with a season-best time of 11:37.87, while junior Catherine Donovan (Hollis, N.H.) was fifth in 12:31.46.
- The 4x800-meter relay team of Kitchin, Villareal, Cohen and Hurley snagged second after combining for a time of 10:54.66.
- Sophomore Julia Ahern (Plymouth, N.H.) tied for seventh in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.41 meters.
- Classmate Libby McIntyre (Greene, Maine) and Fearon placed seventh and eighth in the weight throw with heaves of 10.67 and 10.50 meters, respectively.
- Isakson took third in the shot put with a toss of 8.58 meters.
