BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Senior
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) and sophomore
Karson Genakos (Gilford, N.H.) set program records to lead the Plymouth State University men's swim team at the Bridgewater State Invitational at Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Poll on Saturday.
Lee clipped the program record in the 100-yard individual medley by more than a full second to finish fourth in 1:00.02, while Genakos shattered his own mark in 1-meter diving by more than 25 points, winning the event with a score of 143.55.
Lee added a third-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke (29.55) and placed sixth in the 50-yard butterfly (25.96).
Junior
Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) and senior
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) also recorded three top-10 finishes. D'Addona took third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.57), fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (23.64), and seventh in the 100-yard freestyle (53.34), while Lyons finished fourth in the 50-yard butterfly (25.09), fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.12), and eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (24.69).
Senior
Cory Boisselle (Methuen, Mass.) earned two top-10 finishes in his debut – seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (23.99) and ninth in the 100-yard freestyle (55.43).
In relay action, Boisselle, Lee, Lyons and D'Addona combined for a 1:52.25 to take third in the 200-yard medley relay. The same group also secured a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:42.78.
