WELLESLEY, Mass. – Junior
Lyden Fogg (South Portland, Maine) won another bronze medal and the Plymouth State University men's swim team established four program records during day two of the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships at the Boston Sports Institute on Saturday.
Fogg was at it again, bringing home the bronze medal in the 100-yard backstroke in school record fashion. Easily the most decorated swimmer in the men's program's history, Fogg has now claimed five medals over the last two years.
He added another school record in the 50-yard backstroke during the opening leg of PSU's 200-yard medley relay, while junior
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) broke the program record in the 100-yard breaststroke.
PSU closed the day with a remarkable performance in the 800-yard freestyle relay, demolishing the school record by nearly 40 full seconds.
Through the second day of competition, Plymouth State has 202 points to rank sixth.

How it Happened:
- Plymouth State got off to a record-breaking start as Fogg set a new standard in the 50-yard backstroke during the opening leg of the 200-yard medley relay. Fogg and Lee teamed up with junior Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomore Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) to finish fifth in 1:42.16. The time was a season best by just under eight seconds.
- Lyons followed with a second place finish in the B finals of the 50-yard butterfly in a season-best 25.07 seconds.
- D'Addona and sophomore Liam Dugmore (Dover, N.H.) both set significant season bests in the B finals of the 200-yard freestyle. D'Addona was fifth in 1:59.87, a best by 4.54 seconds, while Dugmore's 2:17.28 was almost 12 seconds faster than his previous best to take eighth.
- Fogg added to his trophy case with his second bronze medal of the championships as he finished third in the 100-yard backstroke in a school record time of 54.46 seconds.
- Lee qualified for the A finals of the 100-yard breaststroke. He broke his own record by 1.58 seconds to finish eighth in 1:02.68. Senior Brady Martin (Auburn, Maine) was seventh in the B finals with a season best of 1:09.38.
- PSU closed out the day with one final program best, as Fogg, Lyons, Lee and D'Addona joined forces in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The quartet's time of 8:02.12 smashed the previous program record by 39.54 seconds.
