SB: Bats come alive as Panthers thump Chicago and Old Westbury

CLERMONT, Fla. – Plymouth State University posted two dominant performances, winning 11-4 against the University of Chicago and 16-5 against SUNY Old Westbury in a pair of softball games at THE Spring Games at Hancock Park on Sunday.

Ly drove two runs in the first inning as the Panthers grabbed a 4-0 lead. Ly and sophomore Avery Couch (Fort Worth, Texas) both homered in a three-run sixth inning, and Bessette added a two-run double in the seventh for the convincing win.
