LYME, N.H. – Sophomore
Megan Heckey (Québec City, Québec) used a dynamic first run to set up a 13th-place finish, pacing the Plymouth State University alpine ski teams in the slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival at Dartmouth Skiway on Saturday.
Heckey, whose result was tied for the second-best finish of her career, was fourth after the morning run before sliding back to 13th. Senior

Märta Hahlin (Arvidsjaur, Sweden) also had a strong day on the hill, as each outskied their bib numbers by a substantial margin.
The men were led by senior
Vincent Fosser (Helsingborg, Sweden), who finished 26th. Fosser and freshman
Javier Lorrain-Beaucage (Montréal, Québec) finished 36 and 42 places ahead of their respective bib numbers.
The women placed 10th as a team, while the men were 13th.

How it Happened (Men's SL):
- Junior Angus Somers (Ottawa, Ontario) posted PSU's top morning run, getting down the hill in 53.73 seconds to rank 35th, but was unable to complete his second run.
- Fosser was close behind in 38th with a first run time of 53.90. He followed with an exceptional second run (51.90) to climb to 26th with a combined time of 1:45.80, finishing 36 places ahead of his bib number.
- Lorrain-Boucage sat 47th after his opening run of 55.42 but jumped 12 spots to 35th following a similarly strong afternoon run. He posted a combined time of 1:48.89 to end the day a remarkable 42 places ahead of his No. 77 bib.
- Freshmen Ethan Rathbone (Newburyport, Mass.) and Charlie Howe (Lake Placid, N.Y.), along with sophomore Alvin Guteland Beiming (Södertälje, Sweden), were unable to complete their first runs.
How it Happened (Women's SL):
- Heckey was dynamic in the morning, flying down the course with the fourth-fastest time (50.21). She followed with a solid afternoon run of 57.13 to finish 13th overall in 1:47.34.
- Hamilton ranked 45th after her opening run of 53.08. She clocked a 58.13 in the afternoon for a combined 1:51.21 to jump into 31st, 28 places ahead of her bib.
- Hahlin and sophomore Marlene Sophie Krohn (Drammen, Norway) were 52nd and 55th in the morning with times of 53.54 and 53.92, respectively.
- Hahlin ended the day in 39th, 31 places ahead of her bib number, with a combined 1:52.59, while Krohn did not finish her second run.
- Sophomore Olivia Andersson (Vaxholm, Sweden) and freshman Erin Husken (North Vancouver, British Columbia) were unable to complete their opening runs, while sophomore Laurence Bouchard (Québec City, Québec) was disqualified.
