MEDFORD, Mass. – Sophomore
Amelia Lefebvre (Greenland, N.H.) made a strong start representing the Plymouth State University women's outdoor track & field team during day one of the heptathlon at the Tufts Spring Invitational at the Gantcher Center on Friday.
Lefebvre currently ranks ninth in the event standings in a field of 20 athletes with 2,307 points. She opened the meet in the 100-meter hurdles, placing second in her heat and 16th overall with a time of 17.60 seconds. Her high jump mark of 1.49 meters was good for sixth place, and she placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 9.52 meters. Lefebvre closed out the day in the 200 meters, running a 27.52 to rank seventh.
The event concludes on Saturday (Apr. 11) with the long jump, javelin throw and 800 meters.
