HOOKSETT, N.H. – Freshman
Clare Tuohy (Sunapee, N.H.) and the Plymouth State University 4x100-meter relay team set program records as the Panthers competed at the Ed Daniels Classic, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at Mark Ouellette Stadium on Saturday.
Tuohy ran the first sub-one-minute 400 meters in program history before teaming up with sophomore
Ani Flynn (Plymouth, N.H.), freshman
Lisi Palmer (Brunswick, Maine), and senior
Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine) to reset the program record in the 4x100-meter relay by one one-hundredth of a second.
Palmer added a second-place finish in the high jump, while Flynn was third in the high jump and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
The meet was non-scoring and featured athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III programs.

Meet Highlights:
- Tuohy shattered the program record by more than one second to place eighth in the 400 meters. Her time of 59.13 seconds was the first sub-one-minute mark in program history.
- Flynn, Palmer, Hanson, and Tuohy reset their own two-week-old record in the 4x100-meter relay, finishing in 49.75.
- Palmer placed second in the high jump after clearing 1.57 meters, while Flynn was third with a mark of 1.52 meters.
- Flynn qualified for the 100-meter hurdles finals after running 15.53 in prelims. She posted a time of 15.35 in the finals to place fourth.
- Sophomore Mia Sweeney (Plymouth, Mass.) placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:36.28.
- Senior Olivia Neely (Old Town, Maine) placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 9.63 meters.
- Junior Abby Bergeron (Essex, Vt.) ran 5:07.69 in the 1,500 meters to place sixth.
- Senior Amber Fernald (Alton, N.H.), sophomore Abby Marston (Greene, Maine), freshman Madison Geddes (Penacook, N.H.), and Bergeron teamed up to place seventh in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:26.14.
- Junior Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) clocked 2:23.60 in the 800 meters to place eighth, while Geddes was 14th in 2:30.11.
- Hanson placed 19th in the 200 meters in 27.02 seconds, while Palmer was 24th in 27.29.

- Select athletes will attend the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT next weekend, while most of the team heads to the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 18).
