Panthers down Fontbonne after loss to Lincoln Christian

            BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Plymouth State University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Friday evening on the first day of the Illinois Wesleyan Tournament.

            The Panthers dropped their first match to Lincoln Christian, 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 20-15, 25-20), but came back to defeat Fontbonne in the second match, 3-2.

PSU HIGHLIGHTS VS. LINCOLN CHRISTIAN

* Senior Brianna Wojtas (Salem, N.H.) led PSU with 13 kills, a .320 attack percentage (13-5-25) and three blocks.
* Freshman Alexis Bowers (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) added nine kills and setter Megan Bailey (Canterbury, N.H.) made 39 set assists.
* Libero Brenna Peruch (Cave Creek, Ariz.) posted a team-high 20 digs, while sophomore Alisha Flanagan (Milton, N.H.) added 14 and Rachel Morrissey (Salem, N.H.) chipped in with 13.
PSU HIGHLIGHTS VS. FONTBONNE
* Wojtas topped the Panthers with 14 kills and a .314 attack percentage (14-3-35).
* Junior Claire Sporer (Medford, Ore.) and senior Kayla Wyland (Melrose, Mass.) added 10 kills each.
* Bailey ran the offense and finished with 48 assists.
* Four Panthers reached double figures in digs -- Peruch (21), Bailey (13), Morrissey (12) and Flanagan (10).
