DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior
Ian Griffiths (Bedford, Mass.) and senior
Jacob Rigoli (Essex, Vt.) set the tone for the Plymouth State University men's outdoor track & field team with two program records each to help the Panthers to a fourth-place finish at the Little Est Conference (LEC) Outdoor Track & Field Championship held at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Saturday.
Griffiths was a menace in the javelin throw as he broke the program record by hurling the javelin 48.75 meters. He also joined sophomore
Brandon Vachon (Ayer, Mass.), junior
Justin Shokal (Alexandria, N.H.) and senior
Terrell Lewis (New Boston, N.H.) for the 4x100-meter relay to take another program record with a time of 43.94 seconds.
Rigoli reset both of his records in the hammer throw and discus. He started with a monstrous win in the hammer with a historic throw of 53.27 meters and added a third-place finish in the discus with another record-setting throw of 43.72 meters.
Lewis broke the LEC Championships record won win the 110-meter hurdles, and the group of freshman
Christian Oglesby (Pembroke, N.H.), sophomores
Jyaire Hatcher (Uniondale, N.Y.) and
Ryan Moyer (Dover, N.H.) and junior
Mike Olson (Sutton, Mass.) reset the program record for the 4x400-meter relay.
Plymouth State finished fourth of eight teams.
The meet was likely the final for a number of PSU seniors;

How it Happened:
- The 4x100-meter relay squad sparked the momentum for the Panthers as they broke the program record with a time of 43.94 and placed fourth to start the day.
- Scroggins ended his career with a huge personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase as he crossed the line in 11:23.92 to place sixth. He wrapped up his day in the 400-meter hurdles with an 11th-place finish in 1:11.03.
- Lewis made Little East history by breaking the conference championship record for the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line in a blazing time of 14.47 seconds to take the LEC title. He also represented in the high jump by clearing 1.85 meters to take third.
- Junior Michael Barrett (Hartford, Conn.) paced the Panthers in the 1500-meter run as he scored sixth overall in 4:11.61.
- The iconic 400-meter duo of Hatcher and Oglesby scored third and sixth overall with times of 50.88 and 52.37 seconds, respectively.
- Olson and Moyer worked together in the 800-meter run to box out the competition in the opening lap as Olson demolished the field with a time of 1:56.40 to win PSU's second title of the day.
- Junior Colin Moar (Annandale, Va.) and Moyer added fourth and sixth place finishes in times of 2:00.83 and 2:03.07.
- The freshman duo of Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and Jacob Gallaher (Gambrills, Md.) took the 5000-meter race by storm. Wilcox made an outstanding kick to take the win in 15:49.95, while Gallaher finished fourth in 15:56.24.
- The foursome of Moar, Barrett, junior Luke Gomes (Litchfield, N.H.) and freshman Eli Roth (Stamford, Conn.) took a second-place finish in the 4x800m relay in a time of 8:27.56.
- The 4x400m relay team of Olson, Moyer, Hatcher and Oglesby broke their own record by a second to place second overall in 3:25.88.
- In throws, Rigoli took the hammer throw title with a program record toss of 53.27 meters. He added another record in the discus throw with a toss of 43.72 meters and took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 12.95 meters.
- Griffiths added to the throws with yet another program record in the javelin, launching it 48.75 meters and scored fifth.

- A select number of Panthers will continue to the NCAA Division III New England Championships beginning Friday (May 6) at Williams College.
