CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) closed out his career with a new personal record in the 400 meters at the MIT Final Qualifier at Sherie and Don Morrison Track on Thursday evening.
 
Hodge, who eclipsed the 50-second mark for the first time at the NCAA Division III New England Championship two weeks ago, shaved another 0.02 seconds off his time to cross the line in 49.87 seconds. He placed second in his heat and seventh overall, ending his career with his two fastest times in the event in back-to-back meets.
 
The meet marked the conclusion of the season.
