KEENE, N.H. – Senior
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) posted the second-fastest 8k of his career, while three of Plymouth State University's point-scorers ran personal-best times as the Panthers secured a fourth-place team finish at the Keene State Invitational at the Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Competing against a field that included three nationally-ranked programs and several top regional squads, the Panthers turned in a strong performance. Goodman crossed the line in 25:29.60 – just off his personal record pace from two weeks ago – to place 26th overall. Sophomore
Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) followed close behind in 29th with a career-best 25:34.50.
Senior
Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) recorded his best time of the season to finish 69th, while juniors
Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) and
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) both set new PRs, placing inside the top-80.
The Panthers' collective effort earned them a fourth-place team finish, edging host Keene State by nine points. Plymouth State also posted the best team score among the six Little East Conference (LEC) programs competing.
