KEENE, N.H. – Junior
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) cruised to a personal best, running the first sub-23-minute race of her career, to lead the Plymouth State University women's cross country team to a 14th-place finish at the Keene State Invitational at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Karow, who set a personal record just two weeks ago with a 23:01.27, shaved nearly 20 seconds off that time to finish in 22:42.80 for 28th overall.
Two more Panther scorers also set career bests, as sophomore
Mia Sweeney (Plymouth, Mass.) crossed in 24:39.20 and junior
Abby Bergeron (Essex, Vt.) finished in 25:16.60. Freshman
Madison Geddes (Penacook, N.H.) and senior
Isabel Costa (Harrisville, R.I.) rounded out PSU's top five, with Costa securing a season-best performance.
Plymouth State finished 14th in a field of 26 teams that included three nationally-ranked programs, and placed second among the six Little East Conference (LEC) schools competing.

- Plymouth State will take next weekend off before heading to Waterford, Conn. for the Connecticut College Invitational on Oct. 18. The JV race kicks off at 11:00 a.m., with varsity at 1:00 p.m.
