MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) posted another strong performance, earning a second-place finish to lead the Plymouth State University men's cross country team, as the Panthers finished third at the Shacklette Invitational hosted by Saint Anselm College on Saturday.
Goodman wrapped up the 8k race with a time of 27:46.90 to finish second, while sophomore
Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) and senior
Luke Cloutier (Limerick, Maine) were also among the top ten. Juniors
Ben Colby () and
Nathan Beauregard () rounded out the PSU scorers in 23rd and 25th.
Plymouth State was the lone Division III team at the meet, finishing with 64 points to narrowly trail the race winners – Assumption (55 points) – and second-place St. Michael's (60).

- PSU is off next weekend before returning to action for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 20. The JV race is set for 10:30 a.m., while the varsity race kicks off at 11:20 a.m. from Robert Dowd Cross Country Course.
