GORHAM, Maine – Junior
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) and freshman
Madison Geddes (Penacook, N.H.) each won events to pilot the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Southern Maine at the USM Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Karow posted a significant win in the 1,000-meters, topping her closest competition by nearly 14 full seconds, while Geddes just outstretched junior
Abby Bergeron (Essex, Vt.) in the 800-meters to win by less than a half-second. Junior
Molly Glew (Plymouth, N.H.) took third in the mile run with a season-best time and sophomore
Ani Flynn (Plymouth, N.H.) was fourth in the 400-meters and sixth in the 200-meters.
In field events, junior
Emma Couturier (Turner, Maine) posted a top-ten mark in the long jump, while sophomore
Ella Fong (Merrimack, N.H.) and senior
Olivia Neely (Old Town, Maine) tied for 16th in the shot put.
Plymouth State finished fifth as a team with 51 points.

Meet Highlights:
- Sophomores Olivia Rudy (Hudson, N.H.) and Eila Trottier (Francestown, N.H.) were 17th and 18th in the prelims of the 55-meter dash. Rudy crossed the line in 8.03 seconds, while Trottier finished in 8.08.
- Flynn took sixth in the 200-meters in a season-best 27.29 seconds. Trottier was 14th in 28.71.
- Flynn also finished fourth in the 400-meters in 1:02.67, just ahead of Karow's 1:03.18. Sophomore Amelia Lefebvre (Greenland, N.H.) finished sixth in 1:03.26.
- Geddes edged out Bergeron for the top spot in the 800-meters with a winning time of 2:28.38. Bergeron posted a 2:28.82. Freshman Linda Cosmes (Billerica, Mass.) and senior Isabel Costa (Harrisville, R.I.) placed ninth and tenth, respectively.
- Running the 1,000-meters for the first time in her career, Karow cruised to the win in 3:20.78.
- Glew finished third in the mile run with a time of 5:45.58, while sophomore Florence Schaumloffel (New Ipswich, N.H.) was eighth in the 3,000-meters.
- Lefebvre qualified for the finals of the 55-meter hurdles where she finished eighth in 9.98 seconds.
- Couturier was ninth in the long jump after a leap of 4.91 meters. Lefebvre finished 12th with a mark of 4.70m.
- Fong and Neely tied for 16th in the shot put with a heave of 9.41 meters.
