PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman
Clare Tuohy (Sunapee, N.H.) earned the conference's top rookie honor, while five other members of the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field also received postseason recognition as the Little East Conference (LEC) announced its major awards winners and all-conference and all-rookie selections on Thursday.
Tuohy was selected as the LEC Women's Indoor Track & Field Rookie Track Athlete of the Year following a stellar performance at last weekend's LEC Championships. She won the 400 meters and finished second in the 200 meters – both in school record times – to lead a strong showing for the Panthers.

Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) and
Abby Bergeron (Essex, Vt.) all earned All-LEC First Team honors after winning their respective events.
Tuohy captured the 400 meters, Flynn claimed the high jump title, and Bergeron, Talon, Geddes and Karow teamed up to win the 4x800-meter relay.
Tuohy, Karow and Talon also secured All-LEC Second Team recognition with runner-up finishes in the 200 meters, 800 meters and mile, respectively.
Flynn added All-LEC Third Team honors with a school-record, bronze-medal performance in the 60-meter hurdles.
Additionally, Tuohy (200m, 400m), Geddes (800m) and Talon (mile) were named to the All-Rookie Team as the top first-year finishers in their events. Tuohy earned multiple All-Rookie selections.
Plymouth State totaled 75 points to finish fourth in the team standings.
Qualifying athletes advance to the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships from Feb. 27 – Mar. 1.
