MEDFORD, Mass. – Sophomore
Amelia Lefebvre (Greenland, N.H.) set a program record in the pentathlon while freshman
Tabitha Colwell (Old Lyme, Conn.) placed 13th in the long jump to lead the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team on day one of the Tufts Cupid Challenge, hosted by Tufts University at the Gantcher Center on Friday.
Lefebvre finished second in the pentathlon open division with a school-record 2,752 points. She placed third in the high jump after clearing 1.46 meters, was sixth in the 800 meters (2:37.59), and eighth in both the 60-meter hurdles (10.19) and shot put (9.07 meters). Lefebvre also cleared 4.50 meters in the pentathlon long jump portion of the competition.
Colwell posted a mark of 4.23 meters in the long jump to place 13th.
The rest of the team competes Saturday (Feb. 14).
