MEDFORD, Mass. – Freshman
Clare Tuohy (Sunapee, N.H.) was dynamic in the sprints for the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team during day two of the Tufts Cupid Challenge hosted by Tufts University at the Gantcher Center on Saturday.
Tuohy posted a pair of top-four finishes, running the first sub-eight-second 60-meter dash of the season to win her heat and qualify for the finals, where she placed fourth. She added a third-place finish in the 200 meters with a season-best time of 26.43.
The non-scoring meet featured a strong showing across multiple events for the Panthers.

Meet Highlights:
- Tuohy won her heat in the 60-meter dash in 7.99 seconds to qualify for the finals. She matched that time in the finals to finish fourth.
- Senior Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine), freshman Sophie West (Rochester, N.H.), and sophomore Olivia Rudy (Hudson, N.H.) also competed in the 60 meters. Hanson placed 19th in 8.36, West was 20th in 8.47, and Rudy finished 24th in 8.61.
- In the 60-meter dash open division, sophomore Eila Trottier (Francestown, N.H.) placed eighth with a time of 8.61.
- Tuohy added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.43. Sophomore Ani Flynn (Plymouth, N.H.) and Hanson placed sixth and ninth in 26.70 and 27.23, respectively.
- Trottier and Rudy also competed in the 200 meters, placing 28th (28.99) and 33rd (29.38), respectively. Rudy's time was a personal record.
- Freshman Cat Rousseau (Swansea, Mass.) competed in the 400 meters, clocking a 1:15.33 to place 20th.
- In the 800 meters, freshmen Linda Cosmes (Billerica, Mass.) and Ella Harvey (Lebanon, N.H.) finished 23rd (2:44.95) and 24th (2:47.83), respectively. Senior Isabel Costa (Harrisville, R.I.) was 27th in 2:50.05.
- Sophomore Florence Schaumloffel (New Ipswich, N.H.) ran a personal record in the 3,000 meters to place 44th. Her time of 13:36.28 was nearly 20 seconds faster than her previous best.
- In the 60-meter hurdles, Rousseau clocked an 11.67 to finish 31st.
- Flynn cleared 1.58 meters in the high jump to finish eighth – just shy of her program-record mark of 1.59 meters.
- Freshman Tabitha Colwell (Old Lyme, Conn.) covered 4.23 meters in the long jump to place 34th.
