BEN DUBOIS ('99): A standout baseball player in the late 1990s, Ben Dubois was a two-time All-Little East Conference selection and the LEC Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 1999.  He led the LEC in earned run average his junior and senior seasons, and set Plymouth State career pitching records for appearances, innings and strikeouts.

A native of Franklin, N.H., Dubois earned All-LEC honorable mention as a junior in ’98 after going 4-3 with a 2.75 ERA.  He followed that with a terrific senior season, finishing 6-3 with a 1.77 ERA and striking out 58 batters in 61 innings.  Dubois earned the LEC Pitcher of the Year Award and First Team All-Conference as well as Academic All-District recognition.  He was also a solid first baseman when he wasn’t pitching, batting just below .300 his last two years and finishing second on the team in home runs and RBIs in ‘98.

Dubois helped the Panthers to four straight 20-win seasons, and a combined record of 85-68.  He also excelled in the post-season, earning LEC All-Tournament Team honors in ’98.   Dubois played seven straight years for head coach Dennis McManus, three years of American Legion ball followed by four years at Plymouth State.
