JOHN GARNEAU ('64): The girls' volleyball coach at Belmont High School for 21 years, John Garneau is one of the most accomplished coaches in New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association history. He guided his BHS teams to an amazing 344-35 record (.908) with seven state championships. A seven-time recipient of the New Hampshire Coach of the Year award, Garneau was the National H.S. Coach of the Year for Region I in 1982. He was a co-founder of the N.H. Volleyball Coaches Association, and was inducted into the N.H. Coaches' Hall of Fame in 1996.

Garneau also started PSC's varsity women's volleyball program in ‘96, coaching the team the first two seasons to an impressive 47-13 record. He led the team to a remarkable 25-3 record in the inaugural campaign, including victories in the first 20 matches of the program's history.
