NORM SHERWOOD ('89): An outstanding two-sport athlete, Sherwood was a four-year starter for both of Plymouth State's soccer and baseball teams in the 1980s. He was captain of the baseball team as a senior and was named Plymouth State's Male Athlete of the Year in 1989.

A native of Marblehead, Mass., Sherwood was a standout midfielder on the Panther soccer teams from 1985-88 that had a combined four-year mark of 49-19-12 and made four straight post-season appearances. He helped the team to the ECAC Tournament Championship in 1985, followed by three straight NCAA berths. A strong defensive player, Sherwood also finished fourth on the team in scoring his season year.

Sherwood wrapped up his Plymouth State baseball career with a .335 batting average, one of the top marks in the program's history. He also set the Panther single-season RBI record with 39 in 1989. Sherwood helped Plymouth State to four straight winning seasons and a combined four-year record of 82-55, including a 24-14 mark as a senior.
