JASON LEWIS ('99): A former Plymouth State baseball pitcher/first baseman (1994-97), Lewis enjoyed a stellar career on the diamond, setting school records for pitching, hitting and fielding. He was named First Team All-New England as a first baseman in 1997, and played in the New England Collegiate All-Star game. He helped the Panthers to three straight 20-win seasons and play-off berths, and received Plymouth State's prestigious John C. Foley Senior Leadership Award in 1997.

A right-handed power hitter, Lewis batted .464 in 1996 and set Plymouth State single-season records for runs batted in (45) and total bases (97). He was successful on the mound, equaling the school mark for singe-season pitching victories (7), including a no-hitter over Keene State. He also put his name in the record books with 21 putouts in a game at first base. As a senior in 1997, the co-captain batted .433, tied the single-season home run record (9) and became a closer on the mound, establishing single-season (5) and career (7) records for saves.

A native of Exeter, R.I., Lewis holds the PSU career on-base percentage mark (.517) and owns the fourth-highest career batting average in school history (.396), the highest in the last 40 years.
