BUDDY TRASK ('76):  High school sports at Colebrook (N.H.) Academy have become synonymous with Buddy Trask over the last three decades. Trask has been the athletic director and boys basketball coach for 27 years and was also boys soccer coach for 21 years.

After spending his first four years after graduation from Plymouth State at Stratford High School, where he coached basketball and baseball, Trask arrived at Colebrook in 1980 and has had nothing but success ever since. He has accumulated 415 career victories in his 31 years coaching boy's basketball, including two Class S state championships and five times as runner-up. He also guided the boy's soccer teams to 180 wins over 21 years, advancing to one state final, and receiving the James V. ‘Skip' Reagan Memorial Sportsmanship Award from the officials association in 2001. Trask was inducted into the New Hampshire Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001 and received the prestigious Walter Smith Coaches Award in 2002.

Trask, who has been very involved in youth sports in the Colebrook community, has achieved much success as athletic director, serving several years on the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association's executive committee and as president in 1998-99, the first Class S athletic director to do so. He has served on several NHIAA committees, and was selected the Class S Athletic Director of the Year in 1993.
