PETER KANIA ('79):  A 6-4, 210-pound defenseman, Peter Kania was the first PSC hockey player to attain all-star status around New England. He had his best season in 1978-79 under Coach Dave Webster, when he led the team in scoring with 23 goals and 21 assists in 15 games. Kania was ECAC Division III Defenseman of the Week three times that season, and became the first Panther to be named ECAC Division III First Team All-Star.

Kania helped lead PSC to a 7-1 ECAC record and a 13-2 overall mark, a school record for wins in a season until it was broken in 1986. Kania was selected College Hockey Player of the Week by the Boston Globe, the only Division II/III player to earn the honor.
