CARIN LAVALLEY ('04):  A former star outside hitter for the Plymouth State women’s volleyball team from 1999-03, Carin LaValley was a four-time selection to the Little East Conference All-Star team.  She was a First Team All-Conference choice her first three seasons from 1999-01, and after missing more than a year with an injury, she was Second Team All-LEC in 2003.

A native of Northfield, N.H./Winnisquam High School, LaValley made an impact at Plymouth State as early as her freshman season.  She was the first player in the program’s history to earn All-Little East honors her first year in 1999.  She repeated her achievements the next two seasons, even though she missed the second half of the 2001 campaign with an injury.  She returned in 2003 with an All-LEC Second Team performance, and she played in the Senior All-Star game after helping the Panthers to a superb 29-8 record and the ECAC post-season tournament.

LaValley was the first member of Plymouth State’s 1,000-1,000 Club, with at least 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.  She is among the school career statistical leaders in kills, total attempts, aces and digs, while helping her teams to a combined four-year record of record of 91-45.
