JOE DUDEK '98: Probably the most widely-known figure in PSC sports history, Dudek became eligible for PSC's highest honor when he received his Bachelor's degree at graduation in May 1998. A four-time All-American, Dudek's accomplishments are legendary, highlighted by breaking Walter Payton's all-time NCAA touchdown record, appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1985 as that magazine's pick for the Heisman Trophy, and a remarkable ninth place finish in the voting for university football's top overall player.

Dudek still holds 10 school records, including touchdowns in a game (5), season (25) and career (79) and rushing yards in a game (279), season (1615) and career (5,570). While some of his NCAA marks have been broken, he still holds the marks for career rushing TDs (76), most career 100-yard rushing games (30) and most games scoring two or more touchdowns (24). Dudek led PSC to a 37-6 record in his four years, with two ECAC play-off berths and the school's first NCAA appearance, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
