BILL TIRONE '72:  Not only is Bill Tirone one of the outstanding Plymouth State wrestlers of all-time, but he has achieved a successful career in education and athletics at the high school level. A four-year member of the PSC wrestling team (1968-72), he was team captain in 1971 and ’72 and compiled an overall record of 48 wins and five losses. He placed third at the All New England Tourney in both ’71 and ’72, earning all-New England and All-American honors in ’72 before competing in the 1972 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Tirone has been a volleyball, wrestling, and softball official in New Hampshire for over 20 years, and coached varsity cross country, soccer, baseball, and basketball in the ‘70s and ‘80s. A former physical education instructor, he has been Principal at Ashland School since 1983, where he was a finalist for N.H Principal of the Year in ’89 and ’92.
