GERD LUTTER: One of the most successful coaches in Plymouth State's history, Gerd Lutter guided the Panther men's soccer team for 23 seasons from 1969-91. He led PSC to 21 straight winning seasons and an overall record of 253-73-42, qualifying for the post-season 15 times in 17 years from 1973-89. Lutter guided PSC to 12 NCAA Tournament berths and three ECAC Tournaments, and his 1983 team advanced to the Division III National Championship game.

A long-time instructor in PSC's Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department, Lutter was the first Little East Conference Coach of the Year in 1989. He has coached several PSC Hall of Famers, including Steve Clark, the school's all-time leading scorer who finished second in the 1983 Herman Award Voting. While Lutter made his mark coaching soccer, he also served stints at PSC as men's basketball and track coach.
