CINDY OSSOLA ('71): Cindy Ossola came to New Hampshire from Torrington, Conn., in 1967 to enroll at Plymouth State College, and has remained in the Granite State ever since.

A fine student, Ossola was also a versatile athlete at PSC.  She played a prominent role on three different varsity teams during a time when women’s athletics made great strides at the college.

Ossola played on the first two varsity women’s lacrosse teams at PSC, and she lettered in women’s basketball for three years. But field hockey may have been her best sport.  Ossola lettered in field hockey four times, and graduated as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 43 career goals.

Ossola graduated ahead of schedule before the spring semester in 1971, and was immediately hired by the Laconia, N.H. School District, where she successfully coached three varsity sports for a number of years, before being named as director of the Laconia High School physical education department.
