KIM JEFFS ('05):  One of the top pitchers in Division III college softball history, Kim Jeffs was a two-time All-American and four-time All-Conference player for Plymouth State from 2002-05.  She set three national records for strikeouts, and shattered every pitching mark in the PSU record books, 21 all together.  Jeffs led the Panthers to a pair of post-season appearances, including the 2003 ECAC New England championship.

A native of Stoughton, Mass., Jeffs set NCAA Division III records for strikeouts in a game (20) and season (375 as a freshman in 2003). She holds the NCAA career mark for strikeouts per 7 innings (10.8) and ranks second in total strikeouts (1,107).  Jeffs accomplished the strikeout records while posting a 66-36 career record for the Panthers with a 0.86 ERA and 38 shutouts.  She earned All-America honors in 2002 and 2003 and was four-time All-LEC and two-time LEC Pitcher of the Year.

Jeffs was the main cog on the 2003 Panther team that finished with a school-standard 30-9 overall record and the ECAC championship.  She graduated with a degree in meteorology and received national attention in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd and on the back feature page of the national publication The NCAA News.
