KELSEY MACDONALD ('07):  A former four-year starter in two sports at Plymouth State, Kelsey MacDonald was a two-time All-Conference selection in soccer but will be most remembered for her achievements in lacrosse.  She was a three-time Little East Conference Lacrosse Player of the Year and set NCAA Division III national records for ground balls and caused turnovers while helping the Panthers to a four-year mark of 57-17.

A native of Oak Bluffs, Mass., MacDonald was a star midfielder for PSU Lacrosse, beginning with her freshman season in 2004 when the team won its first 17 games, including the New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance Championship, and advanced to the NCAA Regional final before finishing 17-1.  This was the first of four post-season appearances for PSU during MacDonald’s career in a Panther uniform, including an LEC Championship and another NCAA Tournament berth in 2006 and ECAC Tournament Championships in 2005 and 2007.

MacDonald was a dominant player all over the field, winning draws, causing turnovers and scoring goals against opponents bigger than her. She was an All-Region selection in 2006 and was named Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year once and Defensive Player of the Year twice.  MacDonald still holds NCAA Division III career records for ground balls (387) and caused turnovers (222) and ranks second in draw controls (313).  She established all PSU standards for ground balls and draw controls, and ranks fourth on the school’s career scoring list with 156 goals, 56 assists and 212 points.
