BETH FIELD ('93): An outstanding defender for the dominating Panther women’s soccer teams from 1988-91, Beth Field was a three-time All-New England selection who was named All-America as a senior sweeper in 1991. She shined on teams that played in four straight NCAA Tournaments, made two NCAA Final Four appearances, and posted a combined overall record of 62-9-1.

A native of Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee H.S., Field was a standout defender her entire career under coaches Phil Rowe and Nancy Feldman.  She earned her first All-New England honors as a freshman in ’88 when the team finished 17-2, and repeated as All-New England her junior year in ‘90.  She capped her career with a fantastic senior season, earning All-America and All-New England honors and leading the team back to the Final Four and a 16-2-1 record. While defense was her strength, she also contributed 17 goals and 12 assists to the scoresheet in her career, including seven goals and five assists as a senior.

Field was also named First Team All-Little East Conference in ’90 and ’91, the first two years of the conference, while leading the Panthers to back-to-back league titles.  She served as an assistant coach for four years before leading the team to the ECAC Tournament as interim head coach in 1998.
